I saw this on someone's tumblr and I loved every point. Great Life Advice.
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E’s - Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Play more games.
6. Read more books than you did in 2009.
7. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
8. Sleep for 7 hours.
9. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.
Personality:
10. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
11. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
12. Don’t over do. Keep your limits.
13. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
15. Dream more while you are awake.
16. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
17. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
18. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others.
19. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
20. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
21. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
22. Smile and laugh more.
23. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Society:
24. Call your family often.
25. Each day give something good to others.
26. Forgive everyone for everything.
27. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
28. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
31. Do the right thing!
32. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
33. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
35. The best is yet to come.
36. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Refinery 29 hit the nail on the head with Saluting the Military Trend! Layering one of the many reasons I love the fall. Check out what they had to say.
From Refinery29.com
"We're not always big on sweeping fashion trends, but, we have to admit, the latest wave of fall military-inspired styles is pretty persuasive—if not downright unavoidable! From Marc by Marc Jacobs to Rag & Bone, the earthy palette of olive greens and burnished neutrals, along with lots of smart utility features and clean cuts is a perfect complement to all our autumn standbys. The trick to getting this global theme right, without looking like we've reinstated the draft? Choose your military accents wisely, mixing and matching between a tailored cargo skinny, broken-in combat boots, and other uncommon utilitarian extras."
Plus Size Options:
From Left to Right: Nordstrom - Calvin Klein Jeans Cinched Waist Jacket , Torrid - Green Victoria Cargo Pant , Torrid - Z. Cavaricci Couture - Olive Skinny Leg Cargo Pant , Torrid - Black Wool Military Jacket
Are you looking forward to any fall trends? Email me at pushingthecuttingedge@gmail.com so I can feature it.

Hope everyone had a good July 4th!
Last Wednesday, I along with some other fatshionista's stopped by Eliza Parker's Launch Party. Shopping, Networking, Food and Drinks! What more could a girl ask for? Chatted up with Jessica Tenaglia the owner and her fabulous team. The thing I love about her clothes is how versatile everything was. She has a fabulous "Million Ways Long Cardigan" which is a god-send working and living in the city. You can wrap it closed for work and open it and belt it later for after work drinks. I met so many fabulous ladies and can't wait to see them this upcoming Friday for the YFF Conference. :)

I have on my Dora the Explorer hat! LOL. Some friends and I decided to head to Washington D.C. this past weekend because we've never been. I know so sad. We did a lot of sightseeing and visiting all our nations monuments and museums. Fun Times. Indulged in the great food in the city, and partied our booties off. Literally.
This Fool lol I ♥ this picture though
DC is a wonderful, quaint, cultural city. And I fell in love ♥. To make sure I was keeping up with the fashionistas in the stylish city I had to pull out my favorite dresses. I purchased from Jen's Fashion Plus. The black/brown/tan combo I had to have after seeing one of my favorite bloggers Mia from Diary of a Fatshionista rocking. I paired it with my favorite red vintage necklace and snakeskin pumps from torrid.
And for the last night I had to rock out with something fierce! I love this ruffle grey and black zipper dress. Jen's has the best selection of dresses whether your going out for a night on the town with your girls or a romantic dinner with your boo. This outfit I rocked with a sequin-y necklace and my Chinese Laundry booties.
How was everyone's weekend??

Yesterday, I took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art near Central Park. As busy of a life we live sometimes we don't know what's right in our backyard. It was my first visit! Something I plan on trying out every weekend. Exploring my city's museums, parks, exhibits, everything. If your ever visiting New York it's definitely a must see.
About the Met
"The Metropolitan Museum of Art, known colloquially as The Met, is an art museum located on the eastern edge of Central Park, along what is known as Museum Mile in New York City, United States, North America. It has a permanent collection containing more than two million works of art, divided into nineteen curatorial departments. The main building, often referred to simply as "the Met", is one of the world's largest art galleries;"
Here are some of the pictures I captured
They also have this amazing exhibit that showcases the fashions of the American Woman from 1900 to the Present it was AMAZING! You get to the end of the exhibit and this room has this large movie screen showing all of the female actresses, singers, comedians, athletes while playing the song "American Woman" by The Guess Who's. Amazing Right? But guess what no pictures allowed bbm sad face :(.
Happy Mother's Day to all my beautiful caring women out there.

Let me count the ways...
1. I love how dewey her skin always is.
2. I love that she is always over or sometimes underdressed
3. She's not afraid to be the center of attention
4. You have to respect her hustle
5. When they are googling you more than your multi-millionaire famous boyfriend..."Ahhh Congrats You've Made It"
We all need a little bit of Amber Rose in us.

VS
Which one would I let my child watch? (Not that I have any kids)
But I'm just saying.
Now the LB commercial is not as raunchy as the VS commercial a la 1998, or any other VS commercial for that matter.
Fugggouddahere, and I'm soo on Team Lane Bryant and I'm glad they are standing up for women everywhere.
Lane Bryant Press Release
"It appears that ABC and Fox have made the decision to define beauty for you by denying our new, groundbreaking Cacique commercial from airing freely on their networks.
ABC refused to show the commercial during “Dancing with the Stars” without restricting our airtime to the final moments of the show. Fox demanded excessive re-edits and rebuffed it three times before relenting to air it during the final 10 minutes of “American Idol,” but only after we threatened to pull the ad buy.
Yes, these are the same networks that have scantily-clad housewives so desperate they seduce every man on the block, and don’t forget Bart Simpson, who has shown us the moon more often than NASA, all during what they call “prime time.”
We knew the ads were sexy, but they are not salacious. Our new commercials represent the sensuality of the curvy woman who has more to show the world than the typical waif-like lingerie model. What we didn’t know was that the networks, which regularly run Victoria’s Secret and Playtex advertising on the very shows from which we’re restricted, would object to a different view of beauty. If Victoria’s Secret and Playtex can run ads at any time during the 9pm to 10pm hour, why is Lane Bryant restricted only to the final 10 minutes?
While it’s no secret that Victoria’s Secret “The Nakeds” ads are prancing around on major networks leaving little to the imagination, steaming up t.v. screens and baring nearly everything but their souls, our sultry siren who shows sophisticated sass is somehow deemed inappropriate. The network exclaimed, she has “too much cleavage” Gasp!
Does that make sense to you? It doesn’t to us either.
Does this smack of a double standard? Yep. It does to us, too.
PICK ONE: Team Cacique or Team Network. Tell us how you feel and pass this along to everyone who shares the view that beauty is in the eye of the beholder not the hands of a television network"
